Shared Objectives
In this cooperative platformer, two players control separate characters with the shared goal of rescuing survivors hidden throughout each stage. Every level contains multiple survivors that must be found and freed before the team can advance. This core objective drives the action and requires both players to stay engaged and aware of each other's position at all times.
Movement and Interaction
Each player uses a distinct set of keyboard controls. One player moves with WASD keys and performs special actions with nearby keys, while the other uses arrow keys for movement and separate keys for actions. Characters can jump on top of each other to reach elevated platforms, blast through breakable blocks to open new routes, and climb stairs to access higher areas. These interactions form the foundation of the cooperative gameplay.
Obstacles and Environment
Levels are filled with moving platforms, gaps, and blocks that require precise timing and coordination to navigate. Some obstacles can only be bypassed when one player helps the other reach a switch or higher ground. The environment is designed to encourage constant communication, as players must decide who goes first and how to best use each character's abilities to progress.
Power-Ups and Assistance
Throughout each level, players can collect power-ups that provide temporary advantages. These items may help characters jump higher, move faster, or break through tougher obstacles. Gathering these boosts is often essential for reaching survivors or accessing hidden areas. Both players benefit from sharing power-ups and using them at the right moment.
Consequences of Failure
If one character is defeated, the entire level is lost and both players must restart from the beginning. This design reinforces the need for constant teamwork. Players cannot afford to split up for long or ignore each other's safety. The shared consequence makes every decision matter and turns each level into a true test of partnership.
